Today May 31 2020 C.E. is the Feast of Weeks aka Day of Firstfruits (Exodus 34:22) which from the New Covenant period began to be called the Day of Pentecost and has been commemorated by some sects (not all) of the Christmas religion as the anniversary of the founding of the Christian Church. This is the only Feast of GOD that the Christmas religion retained as one of their religious commemorative festivity so as to legitimize themselves (claiming themselves as Christians and that their churches originated from the founding of the Church of GOD) with a (selectively selected) New Covenant Scriptures event.
And you shall observe the Feast of Weeks, of the firstfruits of wheat harvest, and the Feast of Ingathering at the year’s end.Exodus 34:22
Also on the day of the firstfruits, when you bring a new grain offering to the Lord at your Feast of Weeks, you shall have a holy convocation. You shall do no customary work.
Numbers 28:26
You shall count seven weeks for yourself; begin to count the seven weeks from the time you begin to put the sickle to the grain. Then you shall keep the Feast of Weeks to the Lord your God with the tribute of a freewill offering from your hand, which you shall give as the Lord your God blesses you.
Deuteronomy 16:9 – 10
Three times a year all your males shall appear before the Lord your God in the place which He chooses: at the Feast of Unleavened Bread, at the Feast of Weeks, and at the Feast of Tabernacles; and they shall not appear before the Lord empty-handed.

The name 'Day of Pentecost' (meaning the day of counting fifty) was introduced into the Scriptures by Luke (the physician, as he is generally known as) who was first and foremost a disciple of the Apostle Paul and then only secondarily a disciple (i..e. follower and believer in JESUS CHRIST). Meaning he worshiped (as in to believe in and obey) first the Apostle Paul over and rather than (i.e. choosing to believe the Apostle Paul when there is any disagreement and discrepancies between the teachings of the Apostle Paul and) the Scriptures records and thus over and rather than GOD and the LORD JESUS (who as the indirect AUTHOR who had raised up men, Prophets and Scribes, to author these records of the Scripture of Truth).
This is not restricted to the Luke (the physician) but it has been generally true with very few exceptions, with all the Elect of GOD whether of the Old Covenant period (Matthew 15:3, 6; Mark 7:8, 9, 15) of the New Covenant period (Revelation 2:4, 14, 15, 20; 3:1, 3, 12, 15, 17, 18, 19) all following after to worship and obey men instead of GOD.
But no more is this more than true than today (especially but not exclusively, from 1989 C.E. on wards) when the Elect of GOD are scattered in dozens (used to be over a hundred but the numbers have gone down) of so called Churches of gods as well as other organizations including by themselves (Ezekiel 34:5 – 6) without any associations.
Now the really important question that you (the reader) must answer for yourself (and never mind if you don't feel it is important), especially and particularly (but applies equally if you consider yourself a "Christian" andor a believer of the GOD of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob) if you are an Elect of GOD, is are you and have you also being doing the exact same thing as Luke the physicians and most of the Elect of GOD today? So again, the question is, what about you, are you exactly like Luke the physician who was first and foremost a disciple of the Apostle Paul rather than that of JESUS CHRIST? Are you also first and foremost a disciple of some men who have whether implicitly or explicitly proclaimed themselves as the great or greatest servants of GOD, rather than a disciple of JESUS CHRIST in all that HE taught recorded in the four Gospel accounts.
